1,2,3 sheeps....I STILL CAN'T SLEEP! What can I do?


You are stressed, nervous, anxious....and you can't fall asleep every night? You have tried all the classical tips to sleep like counting the sheeps, taking a warm bath, having a massage or listening to music....but it DIDN'T WORK?

Here are some new tips to help you having a good night's sleep...




Not every one of these insomnia techniques alone will get you to sleep, but a few of them at least should prove successful..

  •  If you can't sleep, get up
Don't lie awake trying to get to sleep any longer than 30 minutes. If it goes that long, get up. Do something quiet and non-stimulating. When you feel tired again, go back to bed.
  • Sleep with your head facing north
Maybe it sounds weird, but just try it... and see how it works!
  • Visualize something peaceful
Imagine that you are in the most peaceful place in the world. Just stay with your eyes closed, and imagine this place. Just relax, enjoy it...maybe you'll fall asleep!
  • Visualize something boring
Just imagine a situation that you found extremely boring, and that made you falling asleep in the past. Maybe just think of a very boring teacher...or when you are taking the metro or the bus and you can't stay awoken...This works!
  • Don't watch TV or read before going to bed
To avoid an overstimulated mind, try to avoid watching TV at least one-half hour before going to bed. If you think too much of what you have watched or read, that keeps you awake. This is the reason why you can read, but not just before going to bed. 
  • Drink Herb tea or Warm milk
